Wilson relieved and yielded a run-scoring hit to J.J. He completed the cycle with a triple to center leading off the ninth. It was the fourth straight start, and sixth in the last seven in which he allowed two earned runs or less. The Mets offense went 1 for 10 with runners in scoring position while being 4 for 72 in that type of situation.

The two runs he allowed last night came on an 0-2 fastball to Harvey that got too much of the plate. Besides Karns, only two other batters reached second base.

Derek Dietrich homered for the Marlins. Craig Kimbrel threw a flawless ninth on four pitches for his 26th save.

Speaking of Triple-A, Ross has made 5 starts there and has looked really good. He allowed three runs and five hits in four-plus innings.
