Sprint takes on competition with new Family Share Packs

The carrier points out that Family Share Pack is a limited time offer, those willing to sign up can call 800-SPRINT-1 or visit their local Sprint store. The new 10GB and 40GB options on the plan have no per-line data access charges ever on the first four lines when a customer switches.

T-Mobile raised a few eyebrows earlier the month when it announced “The BEST family plan in wireless”.

Sprint says that a comparable plan from AT&T will cost you $160 per month, while the same on Verizon Wireless will set you back $140 per month – that works out to yearly savings of $720 and $480 respectively, which is nothing to scoff at. While it’s kind of a bummer that the plan is only open to switchers, if you’re looking to jump from your existing offer, the deal is one to consider, especially the 40GB/$120 offer. Moreover, when compared to T-Mobile’s 1GB for each line, Sprint’s 10GB data offering is faster.

T-Mobile has courted new subscribers with aggressive pricing, a move that has weighed on its profit margins. Subscribers simply need to shell out an additional $20 every month and avail of 40GB of high-speed data, as well as unlimited texts and talk time.

What do you think of the new plan from the Now Network? That has allowed it to add customers in its fight for subscribers with rival Sprint Corp. and the two largest U.S. carriers, Verizon Communications Inc. and AT&T Inc.

As always Sprint will pay off contracts and remaining device balances to help interested parties make the switch. In other words, Sprint doesn’t care about its current customers.
