Leading sports and luxuary vehicle maker Ferrari reintroduced itself in the Indian market with the launch of its new model California T in Delhi on Thursday (Aug 27). While previous year only because of various issues, both the companies after fighting a long legal battle parted their ways. “We are aiming to sell around 15 units by the end of this year”, Ferrari (Sales Coordinator) Middle East & Africa Aurelien Sauvard said.



Sauvard stated the corporate has bought about 60 automobiles in India to date and that it goals to promote 20 extra by the yr’s finish, together with its California T turbocharged sports activities automotive.

Sauvard added, “currently, we have around 45-50 Ferrari cars in India and in the coming months you will see more Ferrari cars zooming in the streets”. He said the company will not be looking at expanding presence across India and rather concentrate on growing business in Delhi and Mumbai through its two partners in the next 3-5 years.

The California T gets a new 3.9-litre V8 turbo petrol that makes 552PS, mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.

He also said the company is not averse to adding one more dealer in the country provided there is demand. The carmaker launched the Californai model in the 1950s.

Ferrari has equipped the California T with driver aids such as traction control and a carbon-ceramic braking system with ESP and ABS. It’s offering the two-door, four-seat California T hard-top convertible starting at 34 million rupees (RM2.2 million), said Sharad Kachalia, the head of the Navnit Motors dealership in the city.

The new auto offers direct-injection with a 3,855-cc turbocharged 8-cylinder engine mounted very low in the chassis in the mid-front and delivers 412 kw at 7500 rpm, or a power output of 107 kw/litre, which is the highest in its segment.
