With a day before its potential launch, here’s a look at everything we know about the smartphone so far. The handset would also feature a USB Type-C port and it let users activate the screen of the device with a double-tap.



Though certification documents did not reveal much information about the Xiaomi Michigan Pad 2, aside from model number “2015716” and 5.0 volts which was rated 2A, believed to be the device’s unit. The Michigan 4C will sport a 5-inch 1080p (1920 x 1080) display, and it will be available in three variants. It is expected to feature a 5.3-inch Quad HD display, 16MP rear camera, 4GB of RAM, Built in storages of 16GB and 64GB. The phone is expected to sport Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 808 SoC which houses a hexa-core processor. It is a dual sim device with dual standby support. Also, the executives has confirmed that it will have a multi colored design including orange and white. As per leaks, prices are expected to start around 1,499 Yuan which roughly translates to Rs 15,620.

The 16GB variant will be available first in China for $235, while the 32GB pricing is yet to be announced, Digital Trends added. If the rumors are true, then Google will unveil it on September 29, along with the Nexus 6 2016 phablet, but we’ll wait and see if this will happen.

Following the release of the successful Xiaomi Mi4i, several rumors emerged hinting that the Chinese smartphone maker is working on a new version called the Xiaomi Mi4c.

The possibility of the new Michigan Pad being a notebook is not to be discounted either, knowing that Xiaomi has been exploring more possibilities to expand its brand and product portfolio, even getting assistance from manufacturer Foxconn to enter the notebook market.
