The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus has been rumoured before and it appears to be a real product coming later this year.

The report, if proven true, is welcome news to most Samsung fans who have been disappointed with the tech giant’s previous Note release where they altogether ticked off the removable battery and expandable memory options.

It’s worth noting that the QHD resolution feels far more at home on the Galaxy Note 4 than it does on the Galaxy S6, despite the Galaxy S6 display being better in other areas such as brightness and colour accuracy.

“For now, this is something you can only get at T-Mobile- though I expect our announcement will be a wake-up call for the old carriers to get moving with RCS, so customers can enjoy these next-gen services working across wireless providers”.

Today, several live pictures showing the alleged Samsung Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ were published by UK blog MobileFun.

While the debate on the S6 Edge Plus phablet is ongoing, a more realistically rendered prototype image of the Samsung Note was released online albeit unofficially.

“The rest will stay the same”, the site went on to say, “a 5.7″ Quad HD Super AMOLED display on both, Exynos 7422/7420, and a 16 MP camera with optical image stabilization”. Samsung claimed that its upgraded stylus pen in the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is “unique” from the usual manual injection because of its “shape gesture”.

The word is that the Note would also carry the camera genetics from the company’s S6 siblings. The use of a single solution should, hopefully, improve battery life and performance beyond what we saw on the Galaxy S6. We can imagine that glass-and-metal approach going down well with business users.
