The company also announced that a Japanese version of YouTube Gaming is in the works, after it was initially only made available in the United Kingdom and US.

Right now, the YouTube Gaming app is limited to the United States and UK – the two regions it was launched in last month.

Speaking at the 2015 Tokyo Game Show during the Keynote, YouTube announced that their newly launched YouTube Gaming service will soon allow users to stream games directly from their Android smartphones and tablets.

YouTube is coming to the rescue of billions of mobile gamers across the globe by opening its streaming doors to Android customers.

Mobile gaming is proving particularly popular in Japan and Google is looking to capitalize on this trend. YouTube Gaming faces tough competition in that regard, however, Twitch doesn’t now cater to mobile gamers except for a small number of iOS games so YouTube Gaming will get a good crack at that side of things for the time being. Both aren’t yet big factors in the live-streaming market, but are huge to gaming as a whole.
