Man befriends lost goose, then leads it back to water

The video, which Bachmann posted on YouTube on Wednesday, has already been viewed more than 590,000 times.

On Tuesday, forester Andre Bachman was driving along a country road near Edson, Alberta, west of Edmonton, when he spotted a goose who was traveling in the opposite direction.

The goose, who responded with a cheep or two, came quite close to Bachman, but it wasn’t until he started to drive to that the goose followed him again. Bachman carefully drove his truck down to Shining Bank Lake, where he led the perplexed goose to the water. Not once did the bird leave the truck’s side.

Andre talks to the goose as if it’s a family pet, and even attempts to pet it at one point.

This incident does raise the question -why did the bird not simply fly in the air and find the lake on its own.

If you’ve ever been to Desert Shores, or any lake for that matter, you know that geese aren’t the friendliest animals.
