IPhone 6c release rumored for November. as Foxconn staffs up

A pair of rumors earlier this week both point to Apple releasing its next-gen iPhone on Friday, September 18.

20/08/2015: The iPhone 6s (also known as the iPhone 7) will be sturdier but far more expensive than the iPhone 6, according to the latest leak about Apple’s next smartphone.

The Chinese company now produces 60% of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 6s units and 100% of iPhone 6s Plus units for this year. But the news site took this as a blow to hopes of a full-spec iPhone Mini.

Lending a whiff of believability to the images, several sources reportedly confirmed that Apple is set to add a pink option to its flagship handset for the very first time.

Apple will release the next major version of their mobile OS with their new iPhones, iOS 9, this is expected to be released for existing devices before the new models go on sale on the 18th of September.

Now, another report, this time from China Times, pegs the iPhone 6c launch for this November. To wit, a recent report from Park Associates finds that the Apple TV is now the fourth most popular streaming media device in the U.S., trailing behind Roku, Google Chromecast, and Amazon’s Fire TV.

While we cannot be entirely certain that the iPhone 6c is in the works – at least not until Apple spills the beans one way or another – IHS’ Kevin Wang seems to be of the opinion that the aforementioned device will see the light of day by the end of 2015. Subsequent reports have claimed the phones would then be available for preorders on September 11th followed by a Septemeber 18th in-store launch.

As with any Apple launch, pricing details for the next generation of iPhones is thin on the ground.
