Delhi: Lamborghini goes up in flames near Badarpur metro station

A Lamborghini Gallardo spontaneously caught fire at Delhi’s NTPC Chowk, according to a media report.



“The driver of the yellow-coloured vehicle managed to escape without any injuries”. This incident took place today at the Badarpur area of South Delhi. The rear half of the vehicle was completely charred before the fire was extinguished.

Lambhorgini Gallardo, an Italian auto manufacturing company which has a powerful 5.2 litre engine and can produce over 550 PS and a torque of 540Nm. Authorities are yet to determine as to what caused the fire, but they say that the fire started at the rear section.

The Gallardo, which went out of production in 2013, is Lamborghini’s best-selling auto model with over 14,000 units sold worldwide in its 10 year production run.
