The A9 chip in the iPhone 6S reportedly has a Geekbench score of 1,921 for single-core and 4,873 for multi-core.

The site shows several different shots of the new phone, including close-ups, but it is of course possible that they could have been faked. In any case, it makes sense for Apple to release the iPhone 6c this year anyway, and it’ll be another choice that Apple will tack on next to the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

The new iPhone model will run iOS 9, the latest version of Apple’s software for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, which was announced at the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) in early June. However, neither the iPhone 6 nor 6 Plus is available in pink. This fact is something Apple share holders are expecting, specially with recent dip in sales of some of its products like the Apple Watch. This is because two German mobile operators are preparing for an 18 September launch, and with Germany and the UK among Apple’s first-tier countries, the release date will apply to all first-tier regions.

There has also been much speculation about what the next iPhone will be branded as. However, some sources claim it will be a full-fat successor; the iPhone 7.

That’s according to M.I.C Gadget anyway, who reports that “We can’t tell you from what Foxconn’s department we received information, but we can only say that the packaging of the new iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus don’t have sticker with “16GB capacity”, but 32, 64, 128″.

The new iPhone 6c specifications could definitely give the entry iPhone more appeal. The report further adds that iPhone 6s preorders will open up on Friday, September 11 to soon be followed by a worldwide launch seven days later on September 18.
